In a change to the 2021 calendar, the Glenavy Trophy will be played for as a one day event on August 15th. This prestigious competition normally takes the form of match-play but was one of three foursomes/scotch foursomes competitions which weren’t played in 2020 or included in the 2021 calendar due to Covid 19 restrictions and calendar congestion caused by the shortened seasons.
The time-sheet will run from 13.00 to 16.00 on the 15th ( directly after the Sunday singles competition ) and will open for bookings on Tuesday 3rd at 20.15 as normal.

President Pat O’Neill’s prize took place yesterday in blazing sunshine and the winner came from the very last three ball on the course. Karen Purcell shot a fantastic net 64 to win the prize beating Jean Taylor with a nett 68 into 2nd and Polly O’Reilly who also shot 68 into third. The gross was won by Mary Lockhart ( 87 ).
