The Junior Cup team went out on Sunday 21st to do battle in the semi final stage against Castle Golf Club . The home team of Jennifer Moore, Shauna Seifried and Sophie Lumley played three wonderful matches to clinch the win.
The away team Niamh Keilthy and Mary Lockhart had a great days golf also, Niamh pipped on 18 having led through the whole match and Mary going to 19 and called in.
Subs Jacinta Deane and Iris Haughton were on hand yet again to help out with live scoring.
Many thanks and well done to all the team, caddies and supporters including Lady Captain Ciara for making this a day to remember. Onwards to the Leinster Final v Powerscourt on August 10th in Old Conna

A sad day for our Challenge Trophy Team today – Kilmashogue golf course proved too difficult a challenge for our dedicated players. Deirdre and I would like to thank our whole panel, those who played, caddied, subbed or supported, we very much appreciated your time and efforts and were delighted to involved with this fantastic group. Onwards and Upwards
Playing in Greystones Michelle Knapp with her caddy Patricia O ‘Sullivan won 5 and 4. Grace Dodd and her caddy Áine O’Rourke won 7 and 6. Trudy Bolton with her caddy Orla Rushe, who was also sub were one up on 14 and happy to be called in when we won 2 away matches.
Our Lower HC ladies played in St Helen’s Bay, Wexford. Marguerite Hamill had comfortable win, her caddy Jean described Marguerite’s golf “ poetry in motion” (she is her sister in law!)
Ger O Shea, with her son Fintan on the bag fought well but unfortunately lost.
Amanda Lawless & caddy Janet Redmond stood on 18th all square. Amanda hit an “out of sight shot”. Is it OB or in the sea? Opponent laid up, short tricky par 4. Fortunately Amanda was safely on the green and secured a birdie.
Sub in St Helens. Jacinta Deane
Managers. Mary Cahill and Polly O Reilly
Quarter final next v winners of Dun Laoghaire and Rathfarnham.
