Golf Ireland are seeking Expressions of Interest to fill vacancies on their Finance Committee, Governance Committee and Development & Club Support Committee.
Golf Ireland was established to create a single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland. It became fully operational in January 2021 and has almost 400 affiliated golf clubs. Its strategy is to administer the game of golf on the island, provide development services to clubs and promote equality, openness, and accessibility to all.
Expressions of Interest are now invited from applicants who consider they possess the skills and experience to be members of:
· Finance Committee: provides advice and guidance to the Board of Golf Ireland to ensure robust and effective financial controls and procedures are in place in the organisation.
· Governance Committee: provides advice and guidance to the Board to ensure that robust and effective governance procedures are in place in the organisation.
· Development & Club Support Committee: helps to ensure Golf Clubs are receiving adequate support in the form of staff contact, resources and educational workshops. Promotes the Women in Golf Charter and provides guidance to clubs on becoming sustainable in their practices.
Application process
Applicants shall clearly state their name, contact details and a short bio of max. 150 words outlining their skills and experience relevant to this role. Expressions of interest will be considered by the Board of Golf Ireland who will then nominate candidates to the respective Committee.

A panel may be formed from the Expressions of Interest for future vacancies on these Committees.
