It was a tough day for Captain John today with the weather deciding not to play ball on day 1 of his Captain’s Prize.
Well done to Captain John, Vice-Captain Mark, professional David Lewis, course superintendent Keith Clancy, course convenor Fergie Wheeler and Operations Manager Liam Moulton for making the best of what looked like an impossible situation.
In the end there was a shotgun start at 17.15 which worked out well for those who got to play.
Many thanks also to chef Ali and his team for remaining at their posts to provide burgers to the players during their round.
