Many congratulations to our own Dylan Holmes, who won the Wicklow Boys Championship this afternoon. In a dominant display Dylan was the winner by a margin of 7 shots over David Lawley of the Castle Golf Club, with Rory O’Shea from Elm Park Golf Club in 3rd place. Dylan shot rounds of 66, 70, 67 and 73 for a fantastic total of level par.
Dylan becomes only the second golfer to retain the trophy in the history of the championship. The first person to achieve this was Paul Dunne in 2007 and 2008.
Congratulations are also due to Greystones’ boys, Toby Murphy, Jack McGovern and Jamie Anderson, who finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, in a field which included entrants from 19 other clubs.
