Golf Ireland have instructed clubs that the temporary Covid 19 rule modifications must be removed by March 31st at the latest and that clubs must revert to full compliance with the rules of golf as set out before the pandemic.
To comply with this instruction Greystones Golf Clubs will revert to the following score recording protocols from Saturday March 19th.
• Players MUST swap cards prior to commencement of play.
• Players must record their playing partner’s scores in the players score section of the scorecard and should note their own score in the markers score section of the scorecard.
• At the end of the round both players must agree the scores and BOTH THE PLAYER AND MARKER MUST SIGN THE CARD.
• Players should enter their scores using the PSI terminal and the card MUST also be deposited in the card box for review. Fourball scores must also be entered on the PSI terminal and the cards put in the card box. Please note that the original scorecard boxes will once again be used for card collection.
• It is acceptable for the score to be entered using the How-did-I-do app BUT THE CARD MUST STILL BE FULLY COMPLETED AND DEPOSITED IN THE CARD BOX.
Cards must include player’s name, handicap Index and date.
Failure to comply with any of the above may unfortunately result in disqualification.
