Greystones’ Dylan Holmes heads The Wicklow Boys tournament after rounds 1 & 2. A pair of 68’s has given Dylan a 7 shot lead at 2 under par with 36 holes to play tomorrow. On his heals are Charlie Quinn from Castle and Sam Gammell from Naas who are each on 5 over par.
This year saw an incredibly strong field with handicaps ranging from +2 upwards.
Round 3 tee off, for those who made the cut, will begin at approximately 7.15 tomorrow with the leaders heading out at around 8.30. Round 4 is expected to begin at around 13.00.
The Wicklow Boys is the only remaining 72 hole non provincial title in the country and is once again kindly sponsored by Wood Group Homes this year. Previous winners of the event include tour professionals, Peter Laurie, Keith Nolan and of course, our own Paul Dunne who won it twice.
