Congratulations to Captains Iris and Philip who both managed to hit the fairway this morning for their Drive-In. Always the gentleman, Philip insisted that Iris hit first and she piled the pressure on by hitting the middle of the fairway. Philip followed suit and also on hand to nail his drive was Boy’s Captain Rory Reid. Unfortunately Girl’s Captain, Kate Brocken is out of town this week and was unable to attend.
The drive in marked the beginning of our Members Appreciation week which includes free entry to competitions today, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for members and also complimentary food after golf. All members will also be entered in a draw to win a fantastic gardener’s prize of battery powered garden equipment kindly sponsored by Gerry Tuohy of The Lawn Mower Shop.
