The 2020 Haughton Trophy winner will be decided as part of the GOY3 Medal competition this weekend.
The Haughton Trophy, instigated by Stephen Cahill in 2006, is presented By Ken Haughton in recognition of the top golfer from among the winners of the following competitions in the preceding year:
Captain’s Prize winner, President’s Prize winner, Gold Medal winner, Golfer of the Year, Class Cup Winners and the Residents’ Cup winner.
Covid 19 restrictions meant that we were unable to run Golfer of the Year for 2020 so the players who will compete for the 2020 Haughton Trophy are as follows:
Captain’s Prize Winner – Stephen O’Brien
President’s Prize Winner – Michael Dempsey
Gold Medal Winner – Diarmaid MacGabhann
Class I Cup Winner – Philip Dempsey
Class II Cup Winner – Neil Lawless
Class III Cup Winner – Jonathan Kirwan
Class IV Cup Winner – Cian McNaughton
Residents’ Cup Winner – Stephen O’Brien
